Inara has dedicated most of her life in the pursuit of dance, music and costuming.  As a young girl, her love for dance was sparked when she was introduced to ballet classes.  She loved being on stage and learning choreography and from there, moved into a wide variety of other styles.  She has spent many years learning Irish Step Dancing, Martial Arts, Belly Dance, Ballroom, and Latin and has enjoyed every moment.

Inara loves to teach and is dedicated to continuous learning so that she can give her dance students the best education possible. In addition to her local and regional studies, she traveled to Egypt in 2019 via Sahra Saeeda's "Journey through Egypt" course - an amazing immersion opportunity to learn first-hand the culture, history and belly dancer lifestyle as taught by the top dancers in the country.

Inara loves the stage no matter the genre of dance.  She has taken part in local dance competitions in ballroom and WCS and is currently is a part of the IKONIC Dance Team which performs a wide range of latin dances at many of the local socials and festivals.  She dances and performs with her dance partner Martin Rivera Baldera.

The Inara welcomes students of all ages, genders, dance levels and experience. Join her on your own dance journey!

In addition to teaching, Inara is director of the Azama Dance Company, a professional troupe that performs Middle Eastern belly dance, folkloric, cabaret dances and throughout Rhode Island and New England. As a company member, she performs in group choreographies and as a soloist.

Inara is a professional belly dancer, and is often the featured artist performing at many of the area's premier venues including Opa, Habibi's and various shows and festivals.

Outside of belly dancing, Inara spends her time immersed in music and sewing and hanging out with her schnauzer and studio pup, Lily.

Inara is a classically-trained Soprano and pianist, costume designer and seamstress - often putting her talents to use creating colorful hand-dyed silk veils for many performers throughout the region.
